Two Fathers, One Love: Honoring Our Creator & Our Dads

    Honoring Our Heavenly Father

Today, as we celebrate Father’s Day, our thoughts naturally turn to the incredible gift of fatherhood. Beyond the earthly realm, we acknowledge our Heavenly Father, our Creator. He is the ultimate source of all life, love, and guidance. His unwavering presence, infinite wisdom, and boundless compassion are a constant in our lives, providing a foundation of strength and peace. Reflecting on His divine fatherhood reminds us of the immense love that underpins our very existence and the guiding hand that shapes our journey.

    Celebrating Our Earthly Dads

The Good Lord, in His infinite wisdom, has also blessed us with earthly dads. These men often serve as our first teachers, our protectors, and our steadfast supporters. They are the guides who help us navigate the complexities of life, offering wisdom, comfort, and sometimes, much-needed tough love. Their sacrifices, their laughter, and their unwavering belief in us mold who we become. Whether they are still with us or live on in our memories, their impact is profound and lasting.

Today is a beautiful opportunity to express gratitude for the fathers who have shaped us, both seen and unseen. Let’s cherish the memories, celebrate the love, and appreciate the profound influence of fatherhood in all its forms.

Psalm 103:13 (NIV): “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.”

“How I Start My Day: Coffee, Devotion & Deeper Bible Study” “UPDATED”

My mornings start with a prayer placing the Armor of GOD upon my husband, myself, our friends and our neighbors, then I pour a cup of coffee and read a devotional from the “today in the word” app. This helps me set the tone for my day. Then I go through my emails and possibly check social media.

    Update 8/20/25:

For a long time, my mornings have followed a familiar rhythm of coffee, devotional time, and Bible study. This routine has been a source of comfort and spiritual grounding. However, about a month ago, a chance encounter challenged me to re-examine what I thought I knew about my faith, and my mornings have started to look a little different as a result.

It all started with a lovely couple I met at the grocery store. As we chatted, our conversation turned to faith, and they began to share some thought-provoking ideas. They talked about how religion, our understanding of our savior, and even the very history of our heritage might not be what we’ve been led to believe. They suggested that certain things might have been left out of the Bible as we know it, and their words sparked a sense of curiosity and a deep need to understand more.

Their words stayed with me, and I felt compelled to do my own research. I started with a website they mentioned, Christogenia.org, and began watching videos on YouTube. What I found was both eye-opening and challenging. I was starting to see that some of what they said had merit, and it led me down a rabbit hole of discovery.

After a couple of weeks of diving into this new world, I called the couple back and asked for their guidance. They didn’t tell me what to believe, but instead encouraged me to compare different bibles. They specifically mentioned the Septuagint and the Apocrypha, and suggested getting a concordance to help with the comparisons. So now, my mornings are less about a singular routine and more about a dedicated time of deep study. I’m no longer just reading; I’m comparing texts, cross-referencing ideas, and continuing to watch videos to better understand the history and context of these different translations

This journey is still very much in its early stages, and I don’t have all the answers. But what I do have is a newfound sense of purpose in my spiritual walk. It’s no longer just about a routine; it’s about a quest for deeper truth. My mornings are a testament to this ongoing exploration, and I am excited to see where this path leads.

My routine may have changed, but my ultimate purpose has only grown stronger. This new journey is forging a more profound connection to our creator and giving my spiritual walk a renewed sense of purpose and peace.

What are some of your daily routines? Do you have any favorite devotional apps?

I would love to hear back from you on what your thoughts are and your daily routines.

This Weeks Devotion Is Reflecting On Romans 8

“In a world often marked by anxiety and fleeting pleasures, Romans 8 offers an anchor of unwavering love and security rooted in the Spirit. Verse 6 beautifully illustrates this: ‘For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.’ This profound truth reveals that true security and a vibrant life flow not from earthly pursuits, but from aligning our thoughts and affections with the Spirit of God’s love. Delve into these powerful words and find the deep-seated peace and genuine life that comes from a mind surrendered to Him.”

“I find Romans 8:28-30 to be my favorite passage in this book.”

“As I reflect on the profound words of Romans 8:28-30, a deep sense of hope and encouragement washes over me: ‘And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose… For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son… And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.’ This reminds me that even in the midst of life’s complexities, I am loved, purposed, and held within a plan that leads to glory.

The GREATEST gift of all is in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Because of this nothing can separate us from the Love of GOD”

“Romans 8 is a truly wonderful chapter to read and meditate on. In its powerful words, we discover the profound truth that we are unconditionally loved by our Creator. This understanding, at its core, is a bedrock of hope in Christ, assuring us of His unwavering presence and care.”
