Notes
All you will need to make more batches is to add 2 tablespoons of the already made yogurt, 2 tablespoons of probiotic fiber (inulin), and 1 quart of half-and-half or cream. The instructions are the same.
This “yogurt” is great and so healthy for you. You can top it with your favorite fruit, honey, nuts, etc.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
Ingredients
- 10 Bio Gaia Gastrus tablets, crushed
- 1 Capsule Lactobacillus Gasseri BNR17
- 1 Capsule Bacillus Coagulants GB-30,6086
- 2 Tablespoons Probiotic Fiber ( inulin)
- 1 Quart Ultra Processed Organic Half and Half or Heavy Cream
Instructions
- To make SIBO fermented dairy or yogurt:
- Crush the Bio Gaia Tablets with a mallet (put in a bag or cover with wax paper or parchment paper).
- Add crushed tablets to a bowl or large 8-cup measuring bowl along with the other probiotics and the 2 tablespoons of inulin. Add about 2 tablespoons of half-and-half or heavy cream.
- Whisk together until tablets are dissolved. Add remaining half-and-half or cream and whisk until all is mixed together smoothly.
- Pour into 3 1-pint mason jars or 2 quart-size jars. Place lids loosely on the jars or use parchment paper and place them in an Instant Pot.
- Set Instant Pot to Sous Vide setting. Set temperature to 106 degrees for 36 hours.
- Take out of the pot and remove the parchment paper (if using) place a lid on the jar and tighten.
- Place jars in the refrigerator for several hours to cool.
